How to perform a manual dial?

This article walks you through how to manually dial a number rather than relying on the autodialer.

Updated over 9 months ago

I want to dial a specific lead or contact manually, and I do not want to wait for the system to provide them to me.

Making a manual call is simple, but it's important to follow these steps to ensure proper reporting and call recording. Follow the guide below to successfully place a manual call.

Step 1: Set Your Status to a Not Ready State

Before initiating a manual call, you must first set your current status to one of the Not Ready states. This step ensures that the system does not automatically assign leads to you, allowing you the freedom to enter a specific lead's phone number manually.

Step 2: Navigate to the Call Button

Once your status is set to Not Ready, locate the Call button on the left-hand side of the interface. Click on it to open the dialing interface.

Step 3: Enter the Phone Number

In the dialing interface, enter the phone number of the lead you wish to call.

Step 4: Select a Campaign

By default, the campaign selection is set to 'SELECT BELOW'. You must choose an appropriate campaign from the list before proceeding with the call.

Important: If you fail to select a campaign and leave it as 'SELECT BELOW', the call will not be included in your reporting. Additionally, you will not be able to access the call recording later, as it will not be associated with your organization/account.

Step 5: Press Dial

After entering the phone number and selecting a campaign, you can now press the Dial button to initiate the call. Proceed with your conversation accordingly.

Following these steps ensures that your call is properly logged, recorded, and associated with your account for future reference. If you encounter any issues, reach out to support for further assistance.
